• Prevention of deterioration
• Interventive processes
• Building own mounts for items
Who will I meet?
• Nirmala is a specialist in Ethnographic objects and contemporary sculpture, she has over 12 years experience in conservation. Her previous experience has included HOD at Fiji Museum, and as a conservator at the National Museum of Australia. Currently she is a conservator of Ethnographic objects and contemporary sculpture at Te Papa.
• Mark has vast experience in Mount making, crating and installation both nationally and internationally. Currently he has been in the position of mount maker Preparator for Te Papa’s in house and touring exhibitions which he has been involved in for the past seven years.
• Hayden Prujean is an Object Support Preparator specialising in Mountmaking
• Other museum personnel in your region - a great networking opportunity!
Who is it for?
This workshop is an opportunity for representatives from small museums, heritage organisations, the arts and cultural sector, iwi organisations, and others in the region to learn useful new skills and share ideas.
