Admission charges apply.
This extraordinary exhibition follows Keku, an Egyptian woman who lived 2700 years ago, as she makes the perilous journey through the underworld towards the eternal afterlife. It features over 200 ancient Egyptian burial treasures – including Keku’s mummy and her intricately decorated sarcophagus (coffin).
Egypt: Beyond the Tomb will inspire students right across the year levels. It links with a range of curriculum areas, especially social studies but also the arts, English, technology, and science.
Visit the exhibition website and click on ‘Education kits’ to access resources for primary schools and secondary schools.
Bookings for school tours (both guided and self-guided) are essential for Egypt: Beyond the Tomb. Please contact our helpful Education Coordinator on (04) 381 7087 or email reservations@tepapa.govt.nz
